Daniel Bogler

Mr Bogler's career in journalism started in London and has taken him to Frankfurt, Hong Kong and New York, and now back to London where he is lives and works as Executive Editor of the Financial Times. His reputation was earned from 16 years as a top financial journalist. Daniel has written for various columns at the Financial Times including Global Investor, FTDeutschland's German Business, and Asian economics and finance. For six years he published under Lex, the Financial Time's agenda-setting column on business and financial topics, covering everything from individual companies, their strategies and their management to global macro-economic matters.

A commentator on global businesses and generally covering all industries, his particular experience has been following and analysing the banking and finance sectors. He has been especially focused on company strategies and financial performance. This, coupled with his strong understanding of macroeconomic developments, enables him to identify and anticipate key impacts for businesses operating globally.

Daniel has been interviewed regularly on local and international radio and television and quoted in international press. He also lectures on Asian business and political issues. He has conducted personal briefings to a number of Chief Executives and has featured as a guest speaker on a number of prestigious occasions. Daniel has been involved in seminars and panel discussions in Europe, Asia and the US both with the Financial Times, FT Conferences and client events.

Daniel was educated in Germany and England and gained a first class honours degree in modern history from Oxford University.
