Jack Perkowski’s story is a remarkable one and when he speaks, he captivates audiences with his presence and through the sheer respect he commands.  Based in Beijing, Jack Perkowski founded ASIMCO Technologies in 1994, after a 21 year career as an investment banker on Wall Street.  He has now built ASIMCO into one of China’s most successful foreign-invested companies, which is recognised as being a leading automotive components business with 17 factories in eight provinces and 52 sales offices.

Well before others recognised the significant role that China would play in the global economy, Jack was already there, on the ground, doing business in the country, having realised China’s long term future.

Managing the DragonHis first and highly anticipated book, Managing The Dragon; how I’m building a billion dollar business in China, (Crown Business, March 2008) has just been launched and has generated substantial attention;

His wise and ultimately optimistic account should be required reading for anyone starting a business in China.
The Economist
