Maura Fogarty is a seasoned news presenter who has hosted a range of financial markets programmes. She was the co-anchor for CNBC Asia’s "Cash Flow" and "Capital Connection," a show she pioneered serving as the financial bridge between Europe and Asia, as well as the anchor for "Asia Market Week”. During her time at CNBC she covered the Asian Economic Crisis, the Dotcom Bubble Crash and the 9-11 attacks in the United States. She has reported widely from the 2006 Thailand Coup as well as from the Middle East during the 2003 Iraq War.
Based in Singapore, Maura is an excellent moderator drawing upon more than 10 years of experience in business and financial news, both in front of and behind the camera. She has worked in Asia, the U.S. and the Middle East. Maura has interviewed numerous top business leaders including George Soros, Michael Eisner, Michael Geoghegan, and S. Ramadorai and political leaders like Condoleeza Rice, Larry Summers, and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. She has been on various CNBC special assignments including her news coverage of the 16th Chinese Communist Party Congress, APEC Leaders’ Summit and Finance Ministers Meeting 2000 & 2001. She was nominated in the Best News Anchor category at the 2009 Asian Television Awards.
