Philippa is an international authority on Behavioural Finance and was named one of “Hong Kong’s Most Extraordinary Women in Finance”
The founder and CEO of the Philippa Huckle Group, she has been an innovative force within the financial industry for more than ten years. She is unique among investment experts as the person who has taken the principles of the Nobel prize-winning field of Behavioural Finance (led by Daniel Kahneman – Economics Laureate, 2002) and integrated them as a practical, profitable part of the investment advisory process.
During the volatility of the 1997 Asian Crisis, she began to see the impact that emotion played on investment decisions and studied the work carried out by Nobel Prize winning researchers in the discipline of Behavioural Finance and is recognised today as a pioneer of behavioural finance in Asia. She is highly respected as one of the few investment advisors with the foresight to build a strong equity position throughout the recent bear market and to successfully capture the recovery.
Philippa was named as one of Hong Kong’s most extraordinary women in finance by Benchmark Wealth Management in 2009 and won the Outstanding Achiever Award at the 2010 Benchmark Wealth Management Awards. She is interviewed regularly for her views on investor behaviour on news channels like CNBC and CNN International.
She has worked with thousands of individual and professional investors in forums with global banking organisations, investment banks, analyst conferences, trade and business associations and academic institutions. She regularly runs special workshops for clients. She is a master at using illustrative examples and real life anecdotes, along with proven research results to reinforce her learning points.
