David Lim has a decade of experience delivering solutions in negotiation, leadership and team leadership skills across 75 cities in 33 countries. He is best known for leading the landmark first Singapore Everest Expedition in 1998, which succeeded in placing two members on the peak. David went on to complete 70 more ascents after overcoming a rare, disabling nerve disorder which resulted from his first Everest expedition.

David has written three books:
Mountain to Climb: The Quest for Everest and Beyond (1998)
Against Giants: The Life and Climbs of a Disabled Mountaineer (2003)
How Leaders Lead: 71 Lessons in Leading Yourself and Others (2011)

He is the only Singaporean -- and only one of ten in Asia -- who is a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP), the highest accreditation for professional speakers and also recently received the CSPGlobal designation.

David speaks on motivation, negotiation and building high performance teams. Sample presentation topics are: Creating a shared success vision; The Wake Up test of Personal Values; How to Set Goals and Get Them; Overcoming Enormous Odds; Doing More with Less; Negotiating to Win, and others.

He is also an Associate Meta-Coach, certified practitioner in Neuro-Semantics and Neuro-Linguistics Programming. As a mountaineer, The Sunday Times described him as "unstoppable" after he climbed his seventh virgin peak in September 2012. His come-back story was featured on the cover or Readers Digest magazine in 2001.

Back in the corporate world, he spent nearly a decade in the media industry with positions in marketing, journalism management and multimedia. His other positions include being and adjunct lecturer at INSEAD Business School. He holds a B.A. in Law from Cambridge University, United Kingdom.

"David's speech was truly uplifting and inspirational. His adventures have given him excellent life lessons that he is able to translate into everyday experiences. There wasn't a dull moment in his speech, and he has a marvelous sense of humor. I would recommend David to anyone who has an opportunity to hear him speak. Don't hesitate it will be a valuable use of your time that you won't regret."
