Lisa Oake is a seasoned broadcasting professional who hosts a range of financial markets programmes including Squawk Box, Worldwide Exchange and other CNBC programmes. Based in Singapore, Lisa is works exclusively for CNBC as a freelance broadcaster, using her extensive experience to host the full range of CNBC shows on a part-time, opportunity basis.  In Singapore Lisa was the first journalist to report live from the trading floor of the Singapore Exchange. She is an excellent moderator drawing upon her experience as an international reporter, broadcaster and TV anchor since 1991.  She has interviewed a number of Presidents, Prime ministers, business CEOs, central bankers, investors and market analysts.  She has featured on CNBC’s “Wake-Up Call”, “Squawk Box”. “Asia Nightly News” “Asia Market Week”, and “Worldwide Exchange”.

 

Lisa obviously has a very strong understanding of financial and investment topics but also has the skills, experience and personality to handle discussions across many economic, political, business and management topics. Lisa has been involved in a number of CNBC events including moderating the Asia Business Leaders’ Awards and other media events. She can conduct live-on-stage, in-conversation style interviews with speakers, moderate panels and compare events.

 

Born and raised in Canada and has a degree in Political Science from the Memorial University of Newfoundland (1995) and a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario (1996).
